Hiking at Perry Lakes Park

This is another great place to hike in Alabama

I feel like this is one of my favorite places to hike now. I can never decide, I love them all! Perry Lakes Park & Barton Beach is located in Marion, AL. Perry Lake Park

Perry Lake Park
This looks like a piece of art! It is not! It’s a bathroom, yes a bathroom, but just wait there is more!

There was a birds nest with eggs!!!! oh my gosh! The momma bird flew out of there pretty fast when we came in.

I used a different bathroom, but how cool is this. Doing your business with nature. It just felt so relaxing. Haha. Okay so after we took about 15 minutes playing in the bathrooms we moved on.

We were trying to decide if this canoe was for anyone to use or what.. hmm let me know if you know.

This is at the top of the bird watch tower. Beware of the stairs. They are so steep.

The secret bridge! I guess I should have left it a secret.

Part of the secret lake maybe.
Heading to the beach!

The beach area, there is sand, you just have to go down a little bit further.

Some lovely butterflies we saw on the beach.

I hope these pictures are enough to encourage you to head out to Perry Lakes Park, but the mosquitoes are awful when you head back into the trails. So bring some bug repellent.

  1. This looks like a wonderful place. I’m always looking for fire towers whenever I get out in the woodlands. Something about being perched high above the trees just feels so good!
