Take a Walk at Ebenezer Swamp

Ebenezer Swamp is a special place! It is maintained by the University of Montevallo. If you are an animal lover of any sort this is a great place to go. There are birds, snakes, caterpillars, spiders, frogs, some of the biggest tadpoles I have ever seen, fish, beavers, turtles, etc. It is an awesome walk on a boardwalk if you are not into heavy hiking, but would like to see some animals. If you are looking for a new place to go walking/hiking I so suggest this preserve as a place to go.

I keep saying it is a special place, but what I mean is that its ecosystem is extremely valuable! Environmental classes go here to study  the environment and animals.

My husband and I go here quite frequently as we are always trying to capture pictures of birds.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

    • It’s a nice hike, it’s all just on a board walk. The spiders aren’t hanging down on the boardwalk, you have to lean over to see a lot of the animals/insects. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love all those close-up shots, even though seeing some of those bugs in real life would probably freak me out a bit, hahahaha. I unconsciously start feeling itchy and like something is crawling in my pants XD I think it’s a little trauma from a time my sister found a centipede on my shoulder XD

But anyways, I love seeing all the diversity you can find!!
