Electronic and Miscellaneous Items You Pack for Traveling

I am going to list some of the non-clothing items I take for traveling. I am curious as what do you pack for traveling, domestic or international? I wonder if some of these are necessary or do they make traveling easier for us in a way.

1. My phone- I am not tech savvy when it comes to knowing all the ins and out for a camera, but I do hope to buy one in the future.

2. My husbands camera a DSLR – He can take some good quality pictures with his camera, and we are normally are traveling together so his camera comes along. You would think I would take most of my pictures with his camera, but I don’t.

3. A notebook/travel journal, glue stick- I didn’t really think about this until I came across a travel blogger who used one and she glued everything in her notebook from receipts and other things from her trip so she would always have them.

4. My Polaroid camera-Yes a Polaroid camera. You never know when you might need to print out a picture and give it to a stranger.. Haha.

6. Business cards/and little notes with my travel information to leave in random places. Yes I like to take it a little old school when it comes to getting my name out there.

  1. Your travel journal is so pretty, love that cover!

And same with power bank, I carry that thing every time we’ll be out on a trip. Such a life saver sometimes.

I got a sports camera for my last trip, since we were going to be at the beach and in lakes and I didn’t want to risk my phone or my normal camera. It’s like a cheap go pro, so, resolution is not as amazing, but it’s good enough 🙂 So, we had a lot of fun taking photos underwater!

And I have a little travel bag with a lot of travel-sized beauty products. I don’t necessarily care about make up when exploring out there (unless it’s gala night on the cruise!), but I do like keeping my skin care routine 🙂

Also, if there are airplanes or train rides involved, a book!! 😀

    • My husband found the brown notebook at a thrift store. I was so jealous. Finally he realized he wasn’t going to use it and then he gave it to me! Muahaha! I carry my power bank everywhere I go in my purse. For my phone I have a water pouch. A sports camera would be nice though. I think I will add somethings to this list in the future. A book is a good one too!

  2. Like you, I love travelling but no nothing about the photography needed to get those pretty pics I see sometimes! In fact, I bout a rather expensive camera once and I’m sure it’s not been used more than 5 times! Don’t know if it’s outdated? What do you think?

    • When it comes to taking quality photos with DSLR you have to learn about all the settings. You can take quality photos with your phones. I am about to find some iphone courses to better my photography. I do not use a DSLR, the one that is pictured is my husbands and sometimes he takes pictures on our trips and I will use them, but all the pictures I take I use my phone. It’s not so much that your camera is outdated you just have to figure out how to make it work, just like if you take pictures with just a phone. They are our tools and we have to learn the best settings and way to use them. It takes practice. Sometimes we think the pictures will automatically be better if we get a higher end camera, but that’s not true if we do not know how to use them. I prefer to just try to better myself with my phone. It’s just easier to me.
